Meet our newest addition

We have a new addtion to our family. My brother, Josh, and his wife Samantha, had their first baby Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 2:03pm. Grant Joshua was born 11 weeks premature weighing in at 3 pounds 8 oz. I didn't get his length. He was born in OKC and had to be flown to Tulsa because their wasn't room in the NICU for him at Mercy in OKC. Samantha was discharged mere hours after giving birth so that she could go be with her son. The great news in all of this is that Grant has been breathing on his own from the very beginning, from what I understand.

My mother was gracious enough to take these pictures and share them with me. Please keep my brother's family in your prayers as they have a long road ahead of them. For those of you that don't know, Josh has been living in Independence, KS during the week with my parents and working at his new job while Samantha has been working full-time in OKC while they try to sell their home. There's about a 3-hour driving distance between those two towns. Samantha's parents live in Tulsa which is very beneficial to her during this difficult time, but they have a LOT going on right now in their lives.
